First off, wow…

I could leave the review as just that. Maybe add that you should read this if you are late to the party that is Mistborn, like I was. It is well worth your time.

Now, on to the full review (in case you need more convincing).

This book was amazingly well done. A read that sucked you in with the force of a hurricane. I had been meaning start the Mistborn trilogy for a long while, and—after reading the first book and starting the second—I’m mad at myself for not starting it sooner. A fantastic world with a magic system that has rules, makes sense, and doesn’t have anything that felt Deus ex Machina. A book that has a smooth and easy to read flow, with always another secret hiding right in front of your face. And you sit there reading, oblivious, until Brandon Sanderson drops bombs of surprises that he had been building up throughout the entirety of the book.

In closing, read this book.
